Accounting Supervisor

Job Description
The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of accounting functions and reportorial requirements for the company, its subsidiary companies (inter-companies), and clients. This role ensures compliance with general accounting standards and principles while providing leadership and guidance to the accounting team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting process and general ledger structure.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for inter-companies and clients.
  • Resolve complex accounting and financial issues by applying professional judgment and technical expertise.
  • Supervise, direct, and review the work of accounting staff to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Oversee the filing of tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the preparation of annual financial audits in coordination with independent auditors.
  • Handle and prepare all accounting-related reportorial requirements for various government agencies, and attend meetings when necessary (e.g., BIR LOAs, PEZA, BOI).
  • Develop and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Maintain an organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to mentor and guide accounting staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex accounting issues.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams, clients, and external agencies.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
