Accounting Assistant

Job Description
The Accounting Assistant will provide support to the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with routine accounting tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and related reports.
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Administer Accounts Payable, including preparation of Disbursement Vouchers.
  • Prepare basic tax computations and returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to monitor cash balances and transactions.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of audit processes by providing necessary documentation.
  • Carry out other related duties as may be assigned to support the overall efficiency of the accounting team.

Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
  • Preferably with at least 1 year of relevant work experience (open to fresh graduates with strong academic background).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other basic office applications.
  • Strong mathematical ability and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrates confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Self-motivated, with initiative to learn and adapt to new processes.
  • Willing to work on-site at Bonifacio Global City.
