Job Description
The Accounting Assistant will provide support to the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with routine accounting tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and related reports.
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Administer Accounts Payable, including preparation of Disbursement Vouchers.
- Prepare basic tax computations and returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations to monitor cash balances and transactions.
- Support the preparation and coordination of audit processes by providing necessary documentation.
- Carry out other related duties as may be assigned to support the overall efficiency of the accounting team.
Qualifications and Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
- Preferably with at least 1 year of relevant work experience (open to fresh graduates with strong academic background).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other basic office applications.
- Strong mathematical ability and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Demonstrates confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
- Self-motivated, with initiative to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Willing to work on-site at Bonifacio Global City.
